Grinding

Grinding – one of the methods of surface processing using grinding tools, i.e. H. Grinding wheel, grinding stone, grinding belt, which leads to high dimensional and shape accuracy and low roughness.

Grinding can be divided into:

1. Shape of the processed surface:
   • rotating grinding,
   • non-rotating grinding.
2. Fixing the workpiece in the machine tool:
   • centre-type grinding,
   • centreless grinding.
3. Position of the grinding wheel relative to the workpiece:
   • generation grinding,
   • face grinding.
